My husband and I sold our home in CT and had less than 30 days to find a furnished rental in Florida.  We walked into the Sand Key Realty office and met Donna Mettling, who was on duty at the time.  Sand Key Realty was the fourth real estate office we visited that day and we told each realtor we met that we needed a rental quickly. We let them all know that if they could assist us, we would utilize their services buying a home in the next few months.  None of the other realtors dealt with rentals but they gave us suggestions on who we could contact instead.  When we met Donna and told her our story, she said that she had two colleagues who dealt with a lot of rentals and that she would reach out to them on our behalf.  Within two hours, Donna called us back to let us know she had a property for us to see!  Donna met us the next day and showed us a 2 bedroom furnished condo right on the beach.  It was perfect and within our budget!  Before heading back to CT, we gave her our list of must-haves and nice-to-haves for our new home, and she starting sending us listings right away. 

 

Donna was very patient with us as we spent time trying to narrow down our search area and the type of property we wanted.  She made sure we had a copy of the listing for anything new to the market, the day it came on the MLS.  She also followed up on several “For Sale By Owner” properties we found on Zillow.  Thanks to Donna’s persistence, we were able to find our dream home within a month of moving to Florida.  Since buying a home in Florida is very different from buying a home in CT, Donna was very helpful here as well.  She set up an appointment with the home inspector, termite inspector and mold inspector, all for the same day.  She stayed on top of all the outstanding items, made sure everything was documented, and even made herself available to let us in the house when we had family visiting from out of town.  Donna went above and beyond our expectations and made the entire home buying process seamless and painless.  In a world where service is becoming an afterthought, Donna is a true throw-back to the full service realtor that looks out for her clients’ every detail.  We appreciated her service and now consider her one of our friends. We absolutely recommend Donna for any buyer or seller that is looking for an organized, prepared and engaged partner in their search for a home or a buyer.
